Oro Valley Retirement Community
This unrealized concept was created for a retirement community in Oro Valley, Arizona. The director requested four separate sculptures to be placed around the community.
Sculpted from steel and glass, each tower represents a different life-form seen in the Oro Valley/Tucson area ~ Birds of Arizona, Plants of Arizona, Animals of Arizona and Butterflies of Arizona. I thought it fitting that each sculpture represent a different aspect of Arizona's magnificent nature, or "living silhouettes"
18 Feet high, each obelisk stands atop a seating area of Carrara Marble, inscribed with a key quote appropriate to the work at the space.
